Let’s Meet

Meet Doc Randy

Hello, my friend!

Here are some things you need to know before meeting with me:

ADDRESSING ME:

To start things off, my first name is “Randy” and I prefer being called by my personal name “Randy” than by impersonal titles such as “Doc” or “Sir.”

If for some personal reason, you cringe at calling me by my first name only, then you can call me “Doc Randy” which I can tolerate.

CONSULTATION FEES:

The initial/first-time consultation fee is ₱4,500. This payment includes:

  • Free Psychological Screening Questionnaire which will be emailed to you by the secretary
  • One-hour consultation
  • Prescription if needed / Medical Certificate and other documents as requested

REMINDER: Inform me at the START of the session about the document/s you need so that we can allot time to compose them within your 1-hour session.

For follow-up consultations, the fee is reduced to ₱4,000.

Medical certificates, prescriptions, clinical summaries, progress reports, and other documents that are requested outside of the consultation period will have a processing fee of ₱1,000.

  • Request your needed documents through the secretary’s number – 0917.520.3509, and not through my consultation appointment number.

Regarding my professional rates, you might think that they are too pricey. On the contrary, my professional rates are actually very cost-effective - a bargain for the following reasons:

  • Firstly, since I am a psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, life coach, and holistic healer all rolled into one person, you will actually be saving a lot of money consulting me, as compared to consulting the above-mentioned professionals separately.
  • Secondly, you will be getting a Psychological Screening worth P10K for FREE!
  • Thirdly, I will help you get well from your psychiatric condition as quickly and as fully as possible, so you won’t need frequent consultations with me.
  • Fourthly, if we ever meet in person face-to-face, upon my discretion, I usually include FREEBIE treatments during the session such as free acupuncture, energy healing, stress-release massage, or hypnotherapy, each worth P4K if done in separate sessions!

Kindly do not ask for a discount. Even for a therapist such as me, it is NEVER an easy task to listen to people’s problems. And although I enjoy helping people, the truth is that listening to people’s problems is emotionally-draining, mentally-taxing, physically-exhausting, and spiritually-wearying. Thus, asking for a discount is simply unfair for the whole-hearted service that I will give you.

WHAT I DON’T DO:

I do not accept annulment, divorce, adoption, medical, and legal cases which require me to write and submit reports.

I do not do psychological evaluation reports for annulment/divorce, adoption, medical, and legal cases.

CLINIC SCHEDULE:

My regular workdays are Mondays to Fridays from 12-3 pm and 7-10 pm.

Sorry, but I do not hold consultations on weekends.

Each consultation lasts for an hour. Set an appointment only for one hour. It is unlikely that you will need a 2-hour session.

For the first session, you will be emailed a Psychological Screen Questionnaire by the secretary. After answering the Questionnaire, email it back to the secretary prior to the consultation. I will then discuss the results of your psychological Screen with you during our initial session.

VENUE:

Currently, I still do not do in-person face-to-face consultations. Our consultations will be done via AUDIO/VOICE calls via Viber, WhatsApp, or mobile network.

Make sure that your cellphone has adequate load and is fully charged prior to the appointment so that it doesn’t get discharged in the middle of our session.

If our online Viber/WhatsApp call gets too choppy or garbled, then you will need to make a mobile network call instead of an online call.

I do not do home visits or conduct clinic consultations in restaurants or other public places.

SECRETARY’S CONTACT NUMBER:

To set appointments, please text/call the secretary +63.917.520.3509 and 8921.3597

Needless to say, be kind and respectful to the secretary. Avoid bullying, harassing, or arguing with the secretary.

DO NOT call or text my consultation number for questions or requests for medical certificates, prescriptions, etc. My consultation number is only for appointment consultations!

Send your messages, questions, and requests to the secretary’s number- 0917.520.3509 / 8921.3597 instead. The secretary will then send me your message, and I will reply to you through my secretary, too.

  • In your email message, also include the details of the consultation of the patient (i.e. date and time of the appointment, name of patient) so that it can be identified who the payment is for.

  • Your appointment will be automatically cancelled if no proof of payment is emailed to the secretary.

Confirmation of your appointment by the secretary:

  • After your payment has been confirmed, the secretary will send you my Viber/WhatsApp/Mobile clinic number on the same day of your appointment.

MISSED APPOINTMENTS:

All missed appointments will be strictly charged even if you don’t show up.

Missed appointments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

No excuses or justifications or ‘sob stories’ will be accepted for not showing up.

By missing your appointment, you would have let me wait for one hour for nothing! Furthermore, your slot could have been given to someone who urgently needed the session which you missed.

DELAYED CALLS:

If you call late, no time extension beyond your appointment hour will be given.

Occasionally, your appointment schedule may get delayed or disrupted due to:

  • Surprise unscheduled live media interviews
  • Emergency situations such as suicide, violence, medical crisis, or other urgent situations that I must prioritize.

If for the above reasons our appointment gets delayed, be assured that I will surely still call you WITHIN YOUR APPOINTMENT HOUR, and you will still have the one-hour consultation that you paid for.

RE-SCHEDULING / CANCELLING YOUR APPOINTMENT:

If your appointment is scheduled between 12nn-3pm, then make sure to inform the secretary one day before your appointment, before 5pm. If you are not able to do this, then you will be charged for a missed appointment.

If your appointment is scheduled between 7-10pm, then make sure to inform the secretary on the same day of your appointment, before 5pm. If you are not able to do this, then you will be charged for a missed appointment.

If your appointment is scheduled on a Monday, then make sure to inform the secretary on the Saturday prior to Monday before 5pm.

LIMITS OF CONFIDENTIALITY

Information which you disclose before, during, and after the consultation is strictly confidential, to the extent provided by ethics and the law.

Personal information of the patient/client is securely stored for the entire duration of the session in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and DOH Administrative Order 2016-0002.

There are cases, however, which will legally and ethically obligate me to release your information without your consent. These cases include:

  • Serious threat of harm to self and/or others
  • Serious threat of destruction to property
  • A situation or state of emergency
  • Abuse committed against vulnerable persons
  • Court order is issued or when release of information is required by the law
  • Patient/Client has authorized such release in writing.

EMERGENCIES OR CRISIS SITUATIONS

Given the limitations of my availability or accessibility, in case of emergencies or crisis situations, rush to the nearest medical center or consult another mental health professional as soon as possible to receive emergency care.

FREEDOM TO SEEK THE CLINICAL OPINION OF OTHER DOCTORS

You have the right to seek the clinical opinion of other mental health professionals other than me.

FREEDOM TO WITHDRAW/TERMINATE THE DOCTOR-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP

You may terminate my role as your primary psychiatrist or psychotherapist at any time, and you are not required to inform me about this.

If you wish, you can request from me a referral to other qualified mental health professionals.

Upon my clinical and ethical judgment, I have the right to terminate our doctor-patient relationship in the following situations:

  • Specialized treatment: You need specialized treatment that I can't provide, or because I may not have the competence to help you with your particular issue.
  • Safety concerns: You may be a risk to yourself or others, such as exhibiting suicidal thoughts, self-harm behaviors, or violent tendencies, which I may not be able to handle competently or adequately.
  • Ethical concerns: There may be a conflict of interest, dual relationship, or some other ethical concern that might cause a negative impact on our professional therapeutic working relationship.
  • Availability: I may be unavailable for sessions.

AT THE START OF YOUR FIRST PSYCHIATRIC CONSULTATION, YOU NEED TO TELL ME ABOUT:

  • The reason for consulting me.
  • The current symptoms you experience that urgently made you decide to consult me.
  • The psychiatric medications/dosages/brands you are currently taking.
  • The psychiatric medications that had been prescribed to you in the past and their side-effects.
  • When you first experienced your psychiatric symptoms, and what your triggers were.

I hope you were able to browse through all the information above.

Rest assured that I’ll be glad to help you.

Til we meet, take care of yourself.

Sincerely,

Randy
