 Drama Psychotherapy

Do I need to have acting skills, talent, or previous acting experience?

Not needed at all. The focus of drama psychotherapy is NOT on acting skills or acting performance.

Drama Psychotherapy is about immersing yourself fully in the drama process for the purposes of self-exploration, self-expression, self-healing, and self-expansion.

The goal is to reach deep within yourself, to contact your authentic self, and to express yourself from your core being.

What happens during the Drama Psychotherapy workshops?

Drama Psychotherapy workshops may have 6-15 group participants. Smaller groups are ideal so that more personal sharing and emotional processing can be done afterwards.

The Drama Psychotherapy workshop starts off with some warm-up activities, followed by 1 or 2 drama activities.

After the drama activities, there is a time for debriefing. As participants share their personal experiences and insights with each other, a sense of camaraderie, respect, and encouragement builds within the group. In fact, many participants attend regularly since they consider the workshops to be enjoyable and emotionally-uplifting.

What are my credentials in doing Drama Psychotherapy and Family Constellation?

My training as a Gestalt Therapist required me to undergo numerous Drama Psychotherapy workshops for my own personal healing.

At the current time, I do a lot of Drama Psychotherapy sessions for students, corporate people for team building, and people in the entertainment industry such as actors and singers.
