What is talk therapy?

Talk therapy allows you to share with me your innermost thoughts, emotions, stories, and secrets, which I will keep with utmost confidentiality.

As you share, I will attentively listen to you and interact with you sincerely, respectfully, compassionately, objectively, and non-judgmentally.

Our talk therapy will come in the forms of life coaching and psychotherapy:

  • Life Coaching focuses on strategies to help you deal with your present-day problems and future worries and concerns.
  • Psychotherapy focuses on healing from your emotional baggage, psychological trauma, and other root causes.

What do you get from doing talk therapy?

What is a talk therapy session like?

In the span of one hour, there are generally 4 parts:

  • You share.
  • I listen and ask questions.
  • We discuss your issues or do some therapeutic activity.
  • We process, then gradually close the session. 

How many sessions of talk therapy are needed?

Some problems will need only one or a few sessions.

For deeper emotional baggage and psychological trauma, you will need from 6-10 weekly sessions per issue for emotional healing and closure to finally take place.

What is your approach to talk therapy?

I started as a college peer counselor and telephone counselor at the very young age of 17 when I was still a psychology student at U.P. Diliman. So after gaining almost 50 years of education, training, and experience in helping people, my style of doing talk therapy has now become a synthesis of the following psychotherapies:
